Topic: Prescription Medication Disposal
Speaker: Ethan Kuszmaul is a second year pharmacy student at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy currently pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Mr. Kuszmaul graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in May 2013. In 2011, Mr. Kuszmaul became actively involved in an organization known as The Generation Rx Initiative. This program was started by professors at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and has since gained national recognition for its mission to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and misuse. Mr. Kuszmaul devotes a large portion of his time to visit middle schools, high schools, senior centers, and community outreach programs to educate others on prescription medication disposal as well as medication abuse/misuse. Mr. Kuszmaul will be presenting on the proper ways to dispose of unwanted or expired medications and medical supplies.
